Writing down rough ideas of what my level will be about in my notes help me form a clear LDD and gives me an idea on the layout of my level

Having a top down layout of how the level will look and play helps give an idea on how the narrative and encounters could work together.

heavy playtesting and feedback is a crucial part to be able to make memorable and unique levels

this design process allows me to make the overall narrative, environment and tone blend together without one over shadowing another.
